Petrochemicals (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., the first polystyrene (PS) producer in ASEAN is a subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., Japan. Established in 1972 and being a pioneer in the Malaysia, the company had the honour to name herself with the name of the industry.

Idemitsu‘s corporation logo, originally designed by founder Sazo Idemitsu, was inspired by conceptual drawing of the universe by Sengai Osho, a Zen priest of Japan’s Edo era. Each of the three elements in the drawing represents a particular facet of the universe.

Idemitsu PS is high impact polystyrene that is easy for mold ability, size stability and recyclability. High impact polystyrene feature high impact strength and with different characteristics that suit for various type of application. These grades have a good balance of flow rates and flexural modulus features.
